A businessman of the Upper Badah area of Kullu town yesterday donated two smartphones to needy students for attending online classes amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Upon the appeal of Kullu Kar Sewa Dal to well-to-do people to give smartphones to meritorious children of poor families, Sumit Sharma, owner of a smartphone agency, donated two smartphones to students chosen by the association.

The students said they had to go to other children’s homes to study online. They mostly end up missing their classes, they said.
