Chandigarh University has managed to maintain its excellent placement record over the past two years.
Several students of the 2022 batch from Himachal Pradesh studying in Chandigarh University have secured jobs in top multinational companies (MNCs) such as Google, Dell Technology, Wipro, Microsoft, IBM and Amazon, with most of them getting multiple placement offers, said varsity officials during a media interaction here yesterday.
During the ongoing campus placement drive, Vanshika Sanan of Solan, a student of B.Tech (Computer Science Engineering-IBM), received placement offers from Accenture India and HighRadius with a maximum annual package of Rs 8 lakh, while another Solan girl Yogyata Chauhan, a student of Aerospace Engineering, has got a job offer from Tata Advanced Systems Limited for an annual package of Rs 6 lakh. The students gave the credit for the job offers to the university’s pre-placement training.
Abhikash, another BTech student from Himachal, has developed a number of useful innovative devices. He is credited with two patents for an in-built self retracting car cover unit and an in-built hydraulic jack system. —
