In a shocking incident, Jitender Singh, the chairman of KTS School in Solan, was found murdered this morning. His nephew, Tejinder Singh, is suspected of committing the crime using a sharp-edged weapon inside Jitender’s apartment, located within the school premises. The murder took place around 8 am, and Tejinder fled the scene after inflicting multiple injuries to his uncle’s head and arms.

The school, which was closed for winter vacation, has a principal residing in an adjoining room. She raised an alarm when Tejinder attacked Jitender, and the assailant subsequently locked her room before fleeing the scene. Around 10 am, the school’s caretaker discovered the room locked from the outside and broke open the door upon hearing the principal’s voice. Inside, they found Jitender in a blood-soaked state and immediately rushed him to MMU Medical College in Sultanpur, where he was declared dead by doctors.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the murder was linked to a property dispute. Tejinder had come to Solan from Ropar a few days ago and reportedly attacked his uncle over the issue. Police teams were dispatched to locate Tejinder, and he was detained later in the evening at Ropar, where he had changed his clothes to avoid identification.
