Solan school honours meritorious students in academics and sports
Pinegrove School organised its annual awards ceremony yesterday to honour achievers who had made a mark in academics, sporting excellence and other activities.
The chief guest for the event was Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, MGGS (SD and CD), HQ WCl; and the guest of honour was Shekhar Chandra, CBSE Regional Officer, Panchkula.
The ‘School Honour for Academics’ was awarded to the CBSE Class XII exam toppers of all three streams, students with credit-worthy academic performances of 95 per cent and above, and subject toppers, including those with a perfect 100 score.
The Conchie Shield for Best Science Student was awarded to Rohan N, while the Peddler’s Trophy for the Best Commerce and Humanities Students was awarded to Samneet Sharma and Radhika.
The Apache Trophy for Class X CBSE exam topper was awarded to Aarish Garg, and academic proficiency medals were awarded to all the class toppers. School honours were awarded for exemplary performance in inter-school tournaments; and various activities like oration, MUN, music, IT, band, sculpture, art, craft, dance photography and sports.
An in-house programme was held to honour the exemplary behaviour and discipline exhibited by students throughout the academic session.
The Pidilite Trophy for Art and Craft was awarded to Ayush Rai, Nensang Lepcha and Adritya Roy; while the Artrac Trophy for Information Technology was awarded to Vishesh and Tribhuwan Naresh Sharta.
The Quantum Trophy for Best Students was awarded to head boy Yerik Gauri and head girl Mehak Kaur Dhillon from the Dharampur campus, and head boy Kartavya Sood and head girl Aakanksha from the Subathu campus.
Inter-house trophies were awarded for excellence in academics, basketball, soccer and cricket. Chinar House was declared the Champion House at both Dharampur and Subathu schools. The achievers were awarded with special medals, mementos and certificates.
