Solan: Youth detained for stunts on motorbike

The Solan police detained a youth for exhibiting dangerous stunts while riding a motorcycle this evening.
He was captured on camera by some onlookers, who forwarded the video to the police as his acts posed a threat to other motorists.
The youth was seen driving the motorcycle without hands on the handle and making videos on the Dharampur-Solan section of the National Highway No. 5 near Tapan Motors. He lied down on the bike and continued to make videos. He drove dangerously for several kilometres before he was stopped by the traffic police at Solan. He even rode the bike on the opposite lane.
Solan SP Virender Sharma said that Sugam Thakur was detained for exhibiting dangerous stunts while riding a motorcycle. He was challaned for dangerous and negligent driving and riding dangerously while using handheld mobile phone. The process for the cancellation of his driving licence had also been initiated, he added.
