Sonia Gandhi visits Shimla hospital for routine check-up

Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who is staying with her daughter Priyanka Gandhi at Charabra near Shimla, visited the Indira Gandhi Medical College for routine medical check-up.

Sonia, who arrived here three days ago from Delhi, is staying at Priyanka’s house in Charrabra near Mashobra, about 12 km from here. Doctors at IGMC said Sonia came to IGMC in the afternoon following some blood pressure-related issue.

An IGMC spokesperson said she had come for a routine medical check-up as a part of preventive and diagnostic care. He said some routine medical checks were conducted under the supervision of specialised doctors, and she was medically fit and fine. He stated that all necessary protocols were maintained without disturbing the visitors.

Sonia is frequent visitor here ever since Priyanka made her cottage here.
