An agriculture awareness camp was organised on Tuesday at Kharti, Nandrool, of Kangra Development Block, aimed at empowering farmers with practical knowledge. The camp also aimed at sensitising farmers about sustainable farming, crop protection, improved crop production practices, soil and water conservation, innovative inputs and farmer welfare schemes through direct interaction with experts.

Coordinated by Dr Rupika Sharma, Subject Matter Specialist Kangra, the camp unfolded like a green revolution in motion. Experts like Dr Deep, scientist, KVK Kangra, shared practical tips on modern crop practices, while Dr Anju Thakur, in-charge State Bio-Control Laboratory, sounded an alert on fall armyworm, demonstrating live how to protect maize using eco-friendly methods. Amid stalls of nano-fertilisers and insurance demos, farmers listened, questioned and learned.
