Speech Day at Bishop Cotton, Shimla
Shimla, October 26
A ‘Speech Day’ was organised at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla (BCS), on Monday to recognise the achievements of students over the past two Covid-affected years.
Old Cottonian Justice Tarlok Chauhan and his wife, who were the chief guests on the occasion, were escorted to the ceremony by school captain Mayank Barala and his team carrying school flags.
Justice Chauhan talked about advantages of his education at the school and explained how the school had taught him self-reliance and resilience to cope up with the challenges of being a law officer. Justice Chauhan also gave a message to Cottonians that they might face failure at times, but they should try again with a positive attitude.
BCS Director Simon Weale announced plans for Class XI work experience and mentorship to allow students to get an understanding of mainstream careers. — TNS
