SSB commander cremated with state honours

Company Commander ASI Vishvajit Sharma of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was cremated with state honours at his native town Nadaun on Friday evening. He was found dead at his place of posting on the the Nepal border in Nautanwa subivision of Mahrajganj district of UP. He was 48-year-old and was posted in the 66 Battalion of the SSB at the outer border post in Beria Bazaar of Nautanwa. He was reportedly in his barrack when a gunfire was heard by his colleagues, who then found his body in a pool of blood.
His body was flown to the SSB centre at Sappari, Jawalamukhi, and brought to Nadaun. A contingent of the SSB gave a salute to the deceased commander. It was told that he was hit by the bullet of carbine rifle in his barrack when he was cleaning it. Vijay Kumar, SDM, Nadaun, was also present.
