State to clear tourism projects over Rs 50cr within 30 days: CM

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday announced that all tourism projects with an investment of over Rs 50 crore will be processed by the departments concerned within 30 days to ensure timely clearances.

Chairing the first meeting of the newly constituted Tourism Investment Promotion Council, the CM directed officials of seven key departments to strictly adhere to the timeline. He stressed that streamlining approvals would boost investor confidence and accelerate growth in the tourism sector, which he described as the mainstay of Himachal Pradesh’s economy, supporting thousands of livelihoods.

Sukhu said the government is committed to promoting tourism by simplifying and digitising the approval process.
