Himachal Pradesh will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall till May 25. As per the state’s Meteorological Department, light rainfall is very likely to continue in the middle and higher hills of the state till May 22, after which light rainfall will occur across the state till May 25.

The department has also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in isolated areas of Shimla, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Chamba districts tomorrow.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain occurred in many parts of the state during the past 24 hours. The minimum temperatures in the state fell by 4°C to 5°C in the middle hills of the state while no changes were observed in the maximum temperatures. Mandi recorded 16.4 mm of rain, highest in the state, while Kangra recorded 12.4 mm of rain. Light rainfall was also witnessed in many parts of the state, including Rampur, Palampur, Bharmour, etc.

Shimla recorded the maximum temperature of 28.4°C, Dharamsala (34°C), Manali (25.4°C) , Solan (33.5°C), Mandi (35.8°C), Bhuntar (34.3°C), Nahan (33.8°C), BIlaspur (39.3°C), Hamirpur (37.1°C), Chamba (31.4°C), Dalhousie (25.4°C), Kufri (22.5°C), Narkanda (21.1°C), Kalpa (19.3°C) and Kasauli (30.8°C).

Una with 41°C temperature was the hottest place in the state while Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest at 3.5°C.
