Himachal to witness another spell of light rain today

As per the state’s Meteorological Department, light rainfall is likely to occur in isolated places of Shimla, Kangra, Mandi and Sirmaur districts on September 24, after which dry weather will prevail across the state from September 25 to 29. However, the maximum and minimum temperatures will remain normal during this period.
The weather department has stated that the conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from some more parts of Himachal Pradesh along with several other states in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a few areas of the state received light rain during the past 24 hours while a majority of the state witnessed dry weather conditions.
The minimum temperatures in most of the state were 3°C to 7°C above normal and were in the range of 7°C to 25°C. Similarly, the maximum temperatures in most parts of the state were 2°C to 3°C above normal and were in the range of 19°C to 36°C during the past 24 hours. Shimla recorded the maximum temperature of 25°C, Dharamsala (28°C) and Manali (26.8°C).
