The Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today fails to address key issues affecting the nation, besides overlooking the interests of Himachal Pradesh.

This was stated by Sandeep Sankhyan, Media Coordinator of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee. Speaking in Bilaspur, he expressed disappointment that the Budget offered no significant relief to education and health sectors, which he argued were crucial to the well-being of the country. He emphasised that while health cards were promoted as a solution, these do not guarantee quality healthcare. He also highlighted that rising inflation and unemployment were not adequately addressed in the Budget, which he claimed failed to propose practical solutions for economic growth and job creation.
