Step up campaign for LS poll: JP Nadda to Himachal BJP leaders

BJP national president JP Nadda presided over a state-level organisational meeting of party leaders at Hotel River Retreat in the Gaggal area of Kangra district today. He urged them to step up the campaign for winning all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal.
Nadda guided the state leaders regarding various arrangements to be made in view of the Lok Sabha elections. BJP state president Rajeev Bindal, Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, national vice-president Saudan Singh, state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna, election in-charge Shrikant Sharma, co-incharge Sanjay Tandon, organisation general secretary Siddharthan, Bihari Lal Sharma, Trilok Kapoor, MP Sikander Kumar, state officer-bearers, district presidents, morcha presidents and cell conveners attended the meeting that lasted two and a half hours.
Bindal said that many campaigns were going on in the state, including the ‘Gaon Chalo’ drive, the progress of which was reviewed at the meeting. The party leaders discussed how to strengthen election booths and the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that there should be a meeting at every election booth during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. The information about the achievements of the Narendra Modi government should reach people and the negative policies of the INDIA alliance and the Congress like nepotism and family rule should be exposed, he added.
Bindal said that the join BJP campaign had been started to enrol people in the party. Under the campaign, a former bureaucrat, JC Sharma, joined the party in Nadda’s presence.
He said that Nadda gave guidelines regarding how the party organisation should work to win all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh. The party organisation would complete its tasks in due course of time, he added.
Bindal said that a special discussion on various campaigns like New Voter Conference, Senior Worker Contact, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and Beneficiary Contact was also organised.
