Renowned playback singer and chief patron of the festival and cultural ambassador of Mongolia to India Mohit Chauhan said, “Himachal is my home and it is a wonderful experience to bring Kathakaar Festival to my home. This festival is very close to my heart as it brings the age-old traditional forms of storytelling to the people and provides an opportunity to learn about different cultures, rich values and traditions.”

Director of Kathakaar, Prarthana Gahilot said celebrating 15 glorious years of Kathakaar, we are organising the festival this year in Delhi, Shimla, Jodhpur and Jaipur. “After 14 years and 17 editions, the festival has become synonymous with the celebration of Indian and international storytelling in India and the rest of the world,” said Gahilot. “During Kathakaar, we will not only tell stories but also talk about the importance of storytelling in everyday life, cinema and music,” added Gahilot.
