Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare JP Nadda has directed the Chamba district administration to prepare a comprehensive action plan for strengthening health services and submit it to the Centre through the state government. He was chairing a meeting to review the implementation of Aspirational District Programmes late on Saturday.

Nadda emphasised the importance of involving all public representatives in the planning and execution of developmental schemes. He noted that since the launch of the Aspirational District Programme in 2018, Chamba has witnessed significant development progress and the Central government continues to take proactive steps in this direction.

The union minister also called for integrated efforts by the Rural Development Department, Forest Department and local communities in undertaking water conservation projects. He expressed satisfaction over the progress made under the ongoing schemes and issued new directives to officials to further accelerate development.

The meeting was attended by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, MPs Harsh Mahajan and Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj and MLAs Neeraj Nayyar, Dr Hansraj, Dr Janak Raj and DS Thakur.

DC Mukesh Repaswal presented a detailed Power Point overview covering 49 key indicators under thematic areas such as health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion, skill development and infrastructure.
