Dr Punam Suri, President of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, and an Arya Ratna and Padma Shri awardee, was the chief guest. The programme was also attended by directors of DAV CMC, regional directors, principals from DAV institutions across northern India and other distinguished guests.

The celebrations commenced with a havan yagya, performed with traditional Vedic chanting and offerings. Following the havan, the DAV anthem was sung. In his address, Dr Punam Suri emphasised the mission of DAV — to spread the ideals of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati to every individual. He underlined that true education should transcend religious boundaries and embody the values envisioned by the founders of the DAV movement.

A special highlight of the event was the release of the latest issue of Arya Jagat and the Aryan Heritage/Souvenir. Dr Suri also felicitated Arya sanyasis, Vedic scholars, principals, and students who topped the DAV Olympiad 2023, conducted by DAV CAE in English, Mathematics, Science, and IT for classes VIII, IX, and X.

Students from various DAV schools presented plays, bhajans, and cultural programs depicting the life and teachings of Mahatma Hansraj and the principles of Arya Samaj. Notably, 400 students from DAV Public School, Alampur, actively participated. The highlight was the “Gyan ki Roshni” dance performance by 130 students of DAV Alampur, which captivated the audience.
