Education Minister Rohit Thakur attended the annual prize distribution ceremony at Centenary DAV College in Kotkhai. He said the state government was serious about improving quality of education and was taking effective steps in this direction.
   “The government is also taking steps to send meritorious students abroad and combat the growing issue of substance abuse among the youth,” Thakur said.
Thakur announced approval of Rs 68 lakh for overall development of the college. He assured that the college’s several demands would be prioritised, including starting of vocational courses, paving the road leading to the college and installing a boundary wall around the campus.
