These patients had undergone cochlear implant surgery during the Cochlear Brahmos Workshop held at the college from July 9 to 11 this year. Today’s activation and programming of the implants marked the first step in their auditory rehabilitation journey.

The procedures and switch-on were performed by a skilled team led by Dr Munish Saroch, Professor and Head of the ENT Department. “This milestone highlights the institute’s commitment to providing advanced hearing restoration solutions for individuals with severe to profound hearing loss,” said Dr Saroch. Families of the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the medical team, calling it “the gift of hearing” for their loved ones.
