Tanda medical college gets coronavirus testing machine

The CSIR-IHBT has given a “Quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR)” machine to Tanda medical college (TMC) to strengthen its testing capacity. This technology will help scientists in speeding up the testing process of Covid-19 patients.

Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director of CSIR-IHBT, says that qRT-PCR is a highly sensitive instrument that can detect very minute quantity of viral RNA in the targeted samples. — OC
