Tatwani hot water spring, located in the Shahpur constituency of Kangra district, just 20 km from Kangra Airport, is an ideal tourist destination. Situated along the route to the world-renowned Masrur monolith and the Pong Wetland, this location offers a promising tourism circuit.

Local MLA Kewal Pathania, after taking a holy dip at Tatwani on Mahashivratri, emphasised the need to develop this long-neglected area. Addressing devotees at the historic Shiv Mandir, he pledged to raise the matter in the upcoming Budget session to ensure due attention to these sites. He also urged immediate preservation of the crumbling heritage at Haripur-Guler, another significant location nearby.

Pathania highlighted that these attractions, easily accessible from Dharamsala, Kangra, Dehra, and Pathankot, could become prime tourist destinations. He strongly believes that once developed, this circuit could offer ideal day-trip options for tourists visiting Dharamsala and Mcleodganj. Efforts are already underway, with funds recently sanctioned for Tatwani''''s upkeep and the ongoing construction of the Rait-Nerti-Machhial-Tatwani road.

Dharamsala hoteliers and tourist guides also advocate for the development of peripheral areas to increase tourist stay duration. Prem Sagar, a passionate trekker from Mcleodganj, affirmed that the region around Tatwani has immense potential that must be harnessed. Improved connectivity and infrastructure could unlock new tourism opportunities near Dharamsala.
