DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Rehan in Nurpur, organised a capacity-building workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its Implications in Education’ yesterday. The aim of the workshop was to equip schoolteachers with updated knowledge and methodologies relating to AI and its effective classroom applications.

Resource persons Jagdeep Sharma, computer science lecturer from GAV Public School, Kangra, and Aditya Sharma, computer science teacher from Army Public School, Yol Cantt, Dharamsala, conducted interactive and engaging sessions. To hone AI skills of the faculty members of the school, the duo elaborated on the advantages and limitations of AI through tools in education and demonstrated practical ways of integrating AI tools to enhance classroom engagement and learning outcomes.

Host school principal Rashmi Jamwal and principal of DAV Public School, Manai, attended the one-day event. Jamwal lauded the enthusiastic participation of teachers and encouraged them to utilise AI constructively and responsibly to improve the quality of teaching and learning in classrooms. The workshop organisers claimed that the workshop had proved to be an insightful and enriching experience, inspiring the participants to embrace technological innovations and integrate AI effectively into their pedagogical practices.
