The Palampur Rotary Eye Foundation - 40 years in the service of Mankind
The Palampur Rotary Eye Foundation a Charitable Voluntary Organization, registered under "The Registration of Societies Act 1860" is engaged in the service of visually handicapped people in this region for the last 40 years. The society is serving patients across the length and breadth across the state of Himachal Pradesh alongwith neighboring states of Punjab, J&K and Haryana. With the support of the local community, the Foundation has the privilege and honour of establishing three eye hospitals Mela Mal Sood Rotary Eye Hospital Maranda (Palampur), Amar Chand Butail Rotary Eye Hospital Pragpur (Dehra) and Rotary Eye Hospital Dhussara. Apart from this, the foundation has established a specialized mother and child care hospital i.e.Vidya Bhupendra Rotary Women & Child Care Hospital at Thakurdwara, Palampur.
All the hospitals are equipped with latest infrastructure for eye patients. Since the inception of the hospitals more than 40 lac patients have visited these Institutions for treatment out of which4lac plus patients have been operated upon for various eye ailments and other surgeries. The hospitals of the Foundation are being manned by qualified and highly experienced team of Doctors/Surgeons and staff - all serving with missionary zeal. The Foundation is providing free of cost surgeries to the needy and also organising free check-up camps since past many years.
