A state-wide publicity campaign is underway to spread awareness about Scheduled Caste welfare schemes. As part of this initiative in district Shimla on Monday, artistes from the theatre group Trimurti Rangmanch of the Information and Public Relations Department engaged villagers in Totu and Chopal blocks through songs, music and street plays.

The performances highlighted key government initiatives, including the Golden Jubilee Shelter Scheme (housing grant), the Skill Development Scheme under Computer Application Support Activities and the Inter-Caste Marriage Award Scheme. Alongside welfare schemes, the troupe also emphasised the importance of de-addiction and broader social awareness.

The objective of the campaign is to ensure that people receive direct information about these schemes and understand how to avail their benefits. The interactive format drew a large audience, with villagers actively participating in the programmes and welcoming the effort to bring welfare information to their doorsteps.
