Three-day self-defence training camp organised

The Child Development Project Officer announced today that under the Women and Child Development Department of Himachal Pradesh, a three-day self-defence training camp was organised at the Senior Secondary School, Kala Amb, as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.

The camp saw the participation of 48 girl students from Classes 11 and 12. Head Constable Kirti served as the trainer, teaching the participants various self-defence techniques. She also provided crucial legal awareness related to the safety and protection of girls. Throughout the camp, the participants enthusiastically learned and practiced self-defence strategies to enhance their confidence and safety.

In addition, Trilokpur Circle Supervisor Sunita Sharma enlightened the participants about several welfare schemes, including Beti Hai Anmol, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana, Indira Sukhashraya Yojana, Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, and Widow Remarriage Schemes. These schemes aim to empower women and promote their welfare.

Such initiatives reflect the commitment of the government and local administration toward empowering young girls with skills and awareness, ensuring their safety, and encouraging their active participation in society.
