The bus, heading for Shimla from Delhi, left Chandigarh around 7 am for the hills. Around 35 passengers were travelling in the bus and at least eight have sustained minor injuries, who were rushed to the nearest hospital at Parwanoo.

Preliminary probe reveals that the driver lost control over the bus and it turned turtle after hitting the divider.

Though the safe driving limit for a bus is 60 kmph on this four-lane expressway, it has been observed that the drivers often overlook this limit and indulge in high-speed driving, which leads to accidents.
