Thousands of vehicles crossed Shoghi in Shimla till Friday night giving a feel of pre-covid times.

The Shimla Police issued an advisory stating that over 11, 567 vehicles have crossed Shimla over the last 36 hours and more were expected to entre.

A heavy tourist rush is being seen in Shimla, Manali and Dharamsala with hotels packed to capacity as about 80 per cent of the booking were made in advance.

This has cheered the hoteliers.

Besides advance bookings, a large number of walk-in tourists, especially from Haryana, Punjab and Delhi visit Himachal during weekends, said president, Tourism Industry Stakeholders Association, MK Seth, adding that they had given suggestions to the administration and police to make their visit hassle-free.
