Chamba District Magistrate Apoorv Devgan today issued orders restricting the traffic on the Luna-Kharamukh stretch of the National Highway 154A for three hours daily till January 31.

The DM said the orders were issued because of the ongoing construction work of the Kandhi-Mindra link road as there was high possibility of rocks falling from the hillside. As per the prescribed schedule, the vehicular traffic would be restricted from January 10 to 31 between 11 am-12 noon and 3-5 pm daily.

In his orders, the DM clarified that emergency vehicles and those supplying essential commodities would be allowed to ply and there would be no obstruction in matters of public interest. Chamba SP, Bharmour SDM and officials of departments concerned have also been directed accordingly.
