Training held for poultry farmers

To meet the requirement of skilled workforce in poultry production sector, a long duration training programme for small poultry farmers was organised at Krishi Vigyan Kendra here.
Scientist in charge, KVK Kangra, Dr Bhupinder Mankotia said 20 youths participated in the camp. A broiler poultry unit was established at the kendra to impart training. He said the trainees were taken to model poultry, hatchery, feed manufacturing units and disease diagnostic facilities at CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur and private poultry farms in and around Kangra. — OC
