Detailed information was provided to the pradhans, secretaries and officers of various departments about the portal, whose main objective is to promote development in rural areas and achieve sustainable development goals. He said the portal helped the gram panchayats to measure their progress, identify challenges and make effective plans. This portal is data-driven and facilitates the gram panchayats to take decisions based on real-time data.

The Block Development Officer said PAI 2.0 was linked with the Sustainable Development Goals and due to this linkage, it established itself as an important tool by helping the GPs in achieving global goals. “It helps improve various parameters of village development by promoting transparency and accountability in the GPs, thus paving the way for timely achievement of various developmental goals.”
