Former MLA and leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist) Rakesh Singha here today paid homage to CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and said he would always be remembered for his struggle as a democratic leader.

Addressing SFI activists of Himachal Pradesh University unit, Singha said the SFI’s promise to continue Yechury’s fight against communal, casteist and fascist forces the country would be the real tribute to him.

He said Yechury’s untimely demise was a great loss to the country. Singha and SFI activists offered “Red Salute” to the departed soul.
