A cement-laden truck overturned at the Kumarhatti flyover on the Solan-Dharampur section of the National Highway-5 when the driver applied brakes after a boulder rolled down from the hills near a hotel amid rainfall.
The vehicle lost control after its front wheel came in contact with the boulder and overturned at the flyover, creating a traffic jam. Driver Satish Dubey and cleaner sustained minor injuries in the mishap and were taken to a nearby medical facility, said SP, Solan, Gaurav Singh.
The truck had a Haryana registration number (HR 55A-K8855) and was en route to Narkanda-Bengaluru when the mishap occurred. The truck was lifted from the highway using a crane for smooth vehicular traffic.
