Two arrested with 23.36 gm heroin in Rohru

The accused have been identified as Pratham Gupta (25), a resident of Delhi, and Rinjin Dema Khamba (24).
According to reports, the police on Thursday received a tip-off that certain individuals had come to Rohru to sell a consignment of heroin. Taking prompt action, a police team raided a hotel in Rohru, during which they found 6.74 grams of heroin in the possession of the two accused, who were immediately arrested.
During the investigation, the police recovered a further 16.62 grams of heroin, which the accused had concealed at a location near the hotel. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Rohru, Pranav Chauhan, confirmed the report and stated that a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act had been registered against the accused, with further investigation underway.
“This case involves inter-state drug smuggling and we are investigating the links from all angles,” he said. “A total of 23.36 grams of heroin has been recovered and two persons have been arrested so far.”
