Two bridges on way to Bara Bhangal rebuilt

Our Correspondent

Palampur, August 8

The district administration today reconstructed wooden bridges on two rivulets on the way to Bara Bhangal. Three bridges were washed away because of heavy rain and flash floods last week. The reconstruction of the third one is in progress.

SDM, Baijnath, Salem Aazam said the mule path, leading to the valley, would also be restored in two days to facilitate the supply of foodgrains to the land-locked region. A team of the administration along with locals had been working round the clock to restore the mule path and the bridge.

The sacks of foodgrains are dispatched to Bara Bhangal from Baijnath in mid June to September 15 every year. The 60-km mule path is the only link to the landlocked valley.
