Two-day job fair at Nagrota from today

Youth from the Nagrota Bagwan Assembly constituency will be provided employment in Dubai, said RS Bali, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). He said the state government had signed agreements with some Dubai-based companies in this regard.
An employment fair will be organised for the youth of Nagrota on January 29-30 at the IPH Rest House in which recruitment will be done for more than 100 security guard posts for various companies of Dubai. Along with this, recruitment will also be done for the posts of chef, catering, house keeper and service staff in hotel management, he said.
The first two-day employment fair was organised in July last year in Nagrota in which 670 youth were offered jobs in renowned companies.
Employment fair coordinator Amit Kumar said due to the tireless efforts of Bali and the government, employment agreements have been signed with Dubai companies and these firms would be participating in Nagrota job fair.
Youth in the 24 to 35 age group and with a minimum qualification of Class XII can apply for the posts of security guard. The salary will be between 50-70K/month and the selected candidates will be given training for 15 days in Bilaspur. Visa and air tickets will also be arranged by the government under the skill development programme. Interviews will be conducted for various posts associated with hotel management, he said.
