Shimla is set to host the National Cooperative Conference on September 13-14, bringing together a distinguished gathering of leaders from across India’s cooperative sector. The event coincides with the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and promises to be a landmark occasion for dialogue, collaboration and innovation in the cooperative movement.
The conference will witness the participation of Union and state Ministers, chairpersons and managing directors of leading cooperative institutions, senior policymakers, regulators including RBI Governor and NABARD chairman, academicians and technology experts. Delegates representing agriculture, dairy, rural development, cooperative banking and fintech companies will come together under one roof for meaningful discussions on the future of cooperatives in India.
Over the two days, the conference will feature cooperative fair and Fintech corporate exhibition showcasing innovations in banking technology, dairy, agriculture and horticulture enterprises. The board meetings of NAFCARD (National Federation of State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks Ltd.) and NAFSCOB (National Federation of State Cooperative Banks Ltd.) will also be held.
Panel discussions on milk cooperatives as lighthouse for rural development in hilly states, Cybersecurity in the age of digital transformation and emerging technologies and cooperative banking reforms and knowledge sessions, led by the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub and NABARD’s Shared Services will be held.
