Two killed as vehicle falls into gorge in Sainj valley

A tragic accident shook Sainj Valley in Kullu district last night when a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge near Sharan village, killing two young men on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Raju Ram, a resident of Kartha village, and Teja Singh from Matla village, both from Suchaihan panchayat. Local villagers rushed to the site immediately and alerted the police. Rescue teams reached the scene, but unfortunately, both had succumbed to their injuries before any aid could arrive.

While the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle may have skidded off the narrow mountain road. The police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed inquiry to ascertain the circumstances of the mishap. The sudden deaths have left their native villages in shock and grief. Following post-mortem examinations at the regional hospital, the bodies were handed over to the families.
