The Baddi police last evening arrested Ajay Kumar (22), an accused in a Panchkula youth murder case, taking the total arrests in the case to 13. He was arrested from his maternal grandparents’ house at a village near Kalka.
The police had on Friday arrested Ravi, a Bihar resident from Kangra.
He was staying in a hotel near Kangra bus stand. A police probe revealed that he traded in marijuana.
The Panchkula youth was lynched by a group of youth at Baddi, near the truck union parking, on the Baddi-Nalagarh national highway, while another one was grievously injured after a dispute erupted on payment of drugs on August 26.
Ajay Kumar hails from Haripur Sandholi and has studied till matriculation.
He was learning tattoo art from a local studio, besides trying his hands on hair cutting. He came from a well-to-do family that earned rental income from 22 rooms in the Baddi industrial area, a police official said.
He was found closely associated with another accused in the case, Chetan Labana.
