Two-week refresher course begins at HPU

Eighty-one participants from 16 states of the country attended a two-week refresher course, which is being organised in virtual mode by the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Himachal Pradesh University.

Prof Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, HPU, was chief guest on the occasion. Welcoming the chief guest, centre director Prof Desh Raj Thakur highlighted the relevance of such programmes in the present times.

In his address, the VC praised the activities of the centre and said it had been regularly conducting such programmes, which contributed to the intellectual development of participants.

He stated that eminent experts had been invited to enhance the knowledge of the participants and to motivate them.

He mentioned that the UGC has recognised the Training Centre at HPU as one of the leading centres in the country.
