As per the police complaint filed by Priya Chhabra, Chief Manager, UCO Bank, the branch received a call in which a person claiming to be calling from Himachal Pradesh Secretariat tried to inquire about the bank details of the minister.

The caller also requested the bank for an RTGS transfer of Rs 7,85,521. The Branch Manager, upon becoming suspicious of the caller, proceeded to contact the personal secretary of the minister who clarified that no such call has been made.
