Jaypee University promotes green education
To encourage and promote sustainability-led initiatives amongst students, Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), student chapter, was launched at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat. Over 150 students and faculty members attended the launch virtually. Chief guest V Suresh, chairman, IGBC, focused on the need for thoughtful planning and sensitivity towards environment. Dr Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Jaypee University, emphasised on green education and its importance in future. He said JUIT would work closely with the IGBC in inspiring and encouraging young minds to go the green way. Other speakers in the event included Ar. Jit Kumar Gupta, chairman, IGBC, Chandigarh chapter, Col Shailesh Pathak, co-chairman, IGBC, Chandigarh chapter, M Anand, principal counsellor, CII, IGBC.
Shimla girl makes it to IIM
Muskan Chauhan, a student of Jesus and Mary and DAV Public School, Lakkar Bazaar, has made it to the MBA programme of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She did her Bachelor of Science from Shiv Nadar University. She secured 99.45 percentile in CAT-2020 and was picked by the IIM, Ahmedabad.
ABVP slams TMC workers
The ABVP has slammed TMC workers for allegedly assaulting the central security forces outside the CBI offices when they were taking away two TMC Ministers and an MLA for questioning. It blamed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the “deteriorating” law and order situation in Bengal.
