THIS year, again, there has been no business in the vegetable marketing yard established by the State Marketing Board at Larji village in Banjar subdivision. For the past decade, the yard has been lying deserted as arhtiyas do not come here. Due to this, fruit traders have also stopped visiting the yard. Not a single brick has been laid in the last two decades at the yard, established in 2002. Vegetable and fruit producers of Sainj valley are forced to sell their products in Takoli or Bhuntar, adding to their transportation expenses. Abandoned cattle in Shimla district

SEVERAL abandoned cows can be seen on the national highway stretch between Theog and Sandhu. These abandoned cattle roam on the road, causing a lot of inconvenience to the commuters. MC dumping garbage at Nehru Park

EVER since the Manali MC stopped accepting garbage from Kullu, the Kullu MC has started dumping waste at Nehru Park in the Sarwari area of Kullu town. This place is centrally located within the town and the accumulation of garbage here can be catastrophic.
