Deputy Director of the Una Animal Health and Husbandry Department, Dr Vinay Kumar Sharma, stated that the buffalo was brought to the hospital in critical condition, necessitating immediate surgical intervention to save its life. He highlighted that the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment conforming to European standards, including multi-parameter monitoring systems, inhalation anaesthesia machines, X-ray and ultrasound equipment, ECG and echocardiography machines, as well as clinical biochemistry testing facilities.

Dr Sharma added that the Lalari Veterinary Hospital boasts a team of multi-specialty doctors specialising in veterinary surgery, medicine, and pathology. The hospital routinely performs a wide range of procedures, including orthopaedic, soft tissue, tumour, eye, nose, throat, and reproductive tract surgeries.
