A video of the Dalai Lama asking a minor boy to suck his tongue has gone viral on social media. The video has evoked strong reactions from Twitter users. The video shows the Dalai Lama kissing a minor boy on his lips when he leaned to pay him respect. He is also heard asking the boy to suck his tongue.

The period and authenticity of the video could not be ascertained as there was no reaction to it from the office of the Dalai Lama. The staff of the Dalai Lama did not respond to phone calls and WhatsApp messages to get reaction to video.

The Dalai Lama had earlier also courted a controversy when he had said in an interview that his successor could be women but she should attractive. The comments of the Dalai Lama had evoked strong reaction from feminist groups from across the globe. The Dalai Lama had later apologised for his comments.

A boy of Mongolian ethnicity who was born in US was recognised as reincarnation of a third most important spiritual leader in Tibetan Buddhism, Khalka Jetsun Dhampa Rinpoche by the Dalai Lama.

The Dalai Lama had recently recognised a boy of Mongolian decent staying in US as Khalka Jetsun Dhampa Rinpoche a third high ranking Lama in Tibetan Buddhism. Important Lamas of Tibetan Buddhism play an important role in finding the next the Dalai Lama. Already the Chinese government has been claiming that it would decide on reincarnation of the present Dalai Lama with Tibetan government in exile strongly resisting the move.

One of the top Lamas of Tibetan Buddhism, Panchen Lama who plays a role in selecting the next Dalai Lama was already under the control of Chinese government. As per the Tibetan government in exile the child was taken into custody by the Chinese government just after he was recognized as Panchen Lama by the present the Dalai Lama. The Tibetans have been carrying out a campaign since last two decades seeking whereabouts of Panchen Lama.

Another important Tibetan Lama, the Karmapa, who left India a couple of ago has not returned. As per the sources, he has taken citizenship of Dominican Republic and was now travelling in western countries.

With the Dalai Lama recognising a US boy as reincarnation of an important lama it has opened up possibilities that the Tibetan Lamas who used to reincarnate in Tibet now might now reincarnate in other parts of the world.
