The Speaker — on his return after a tour abroad — said here today that he had given his consent for the session on receiving the proposal from the government for the holding of the winter session. “I had issued guidelines to the Kangra district administration while I was abroad to make the arrangements for holding the session at Tapovan in Dharamsala,” he said.

Earlier, the Speaker was welcomed by Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania and MLA Malendra Rajan and the officers and employees of the Assembly. The Speaker said his visit to several countries, including Australia and Japan, was informative.
