Vidyapeeth, Shimla — a JEE and NEET coaching academy —recently organised Confluence, an event, at their Sundernagar centre.

During the programme, winners of their prestigious Kalam of Himachal award were felicitated.

This year, 18,500 students of the state from classes VII to XII had participated in the contest.

Jannat Thakur bagged the top position from Mandi district, while Aashravi and Pradyuman Thakur stood second and third, respectively.

Top three scorers from each class were also awarded cash prizes worth Rs 5100, 3100 and 2100, respectively. Vidyapeeth directors Ravinder Awasthi and Dr Ramesh Sharma congratulated the students for their success.

In his address, Sunder Nagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal, as the chief guest at the event, said the award was a booster for the aspirants, and Vidyapeeth was providing an excellent platform for the preparation for different competitive exams.
