Vijay Paul reappointed CACP chief

Shimla, January 12

Agribusiness management expert Vijay Paul Sharma of Una has been reappointed the chairman of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Sharma is a farmer’s son and at present Professor at the IIM, Ahmedabad.

He is an alumnus of Palampur Agriculture University and has served as the CACP Chairman from June 2016 to May 2021. He was reappointed on January 3.

“I am honoured and grateful to the government for reposing faith in my abilities. I will try to work hard to meet the expectations of all stakeholders,” he said.

“Sharma’s experience will help agribusiness sector grow”, said Executive Director, Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kisan Yojana, Professor Rajeshwar Singh Chandel.
