Shimla, March 2

The unease in the ruling Congress continues even as the storm that hit the Sukhu government seemed to have settled for now with the family of former chief minister Virbhadra still sulking.

All eyes on the movements of Vikramaditya Singh, son of six-time chief minister Virbhadra Singh, who is the Public Works Minister in the Congress government.

He is in Delhi amidst speculation that he could meet top BJP leadership.

What has fuelled these conjectures is the removal of status of Minister and Congress by Vikramaditya from his social media accounts like facebook.

He has a new status ‘Himachal ka Sewak’ on his fecebook account, which has the political circles rife about his further drifting away from the Congress.

Vikramaditya Singh, however, denied removal of the Congress from bio had anything to do with the current political crisis.

Vikramaditya Singh said he had changed his bio on his social media account almost five months back “It is wrong to read too much into it and link it to the present political developments of,” he said.

He added that he had changed his bio to ‘Himachal ka Sewak’ after he read it somewhere and liked it.

Amid the ongoing crisis, one of the six rebel MLAs, Sudhir Sharma, shared a cryptic post.

"All the king's horses and all the king's men, Couldn't put Humpty together again," wrote  Sudhir Sharma on X, formally called Twitter.

On the other hand, the utterance by Vikramaditya's mother and state Congress president Pratibha Singh, who is also the Lok Sabha MP from Mandi has made it amply clear that things were far from normal.

She was clearly unhappy and feel that issues addressed by her and Vikramaditya remain unaddressed.

The central observers, DK Shivakumar, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Bhupesh Bhagel managed to bring the entire Congress party and CLP for a photo opp at the CM’s residence, but the simmering discontent among many leaders still remains.

Remarks by Pratibha that the high command had refused to the demand of change of leadership by replacing chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu seems to be upsetting her the most. As such considering that the storm has blown over in the government would be wrong.

Speculation about some more Congress MLAs being in touch with the BJP high command are also doing the rounds.

Infighting in Congress creating political instability in Himachal: BJP

Meanhwilw, BJP said the Congress government had been reduced to a minority.

Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker and MLA Vipin Parmar said infighting and bickering within the Congress was at its climax. He said it was this infighting within the Congress, which has created political instability in the state.

He added the outburst by party ministers and MLA’s against their own government reflects on the state of affairs in the Congress regime.

He also termed the CM referring to the six rebels as ‘kale nag’ very unfortunate.
