Villagers protest low voltage
Shimla, February 27
The villagers from Satlai gram panchayat today staged a protest in front of the office of Executive Engineer, HPSEBL, Kasumpati, demanding solving low voltage problem, mainly in Kail and other villages in the area.
A delegation led by Himachal Kisan sabha president Dr Kuldip Tanwar submitted a memorandum to the Executive Engineer seeking immediate solution.
“It has become difficult for our children to study at night,” said Satlai panchayat pradhan Promila.
They said the HPSEBL had put up a transformer at Cheekhar, which feeds 11 borewells and 65 meters. But their villages are located about 5 km away from this transformer and electricity supply is of no use due to low voltage, they said. — TNS
