Vinod Thakur, former secretary of the state BJP unit, was appointed spokesperson of the party by Rajeev Bindal, president. Vinod had played a vital role in the media management during the recent Lok Sabha elections and was assigned the work in the New Delhi Assembly elections.
It was expected that he would be given an important responsibility either in the party or in the government after the Delhi elections. His name was also in the fray for the post of the media adviser to the Chief Minister. Vinod’s induction was second in the organisational setup after Kamlesh Kumari, MLA, Bhoranj, who was appointed the state vice-president of the BJP.
